Welcome to these pages about my musical life, which has two creative outlets:

Composing music for various instruments and voices. I try to write music that is equally for the heart and the mind, with singable melodic lines and rich harmonies supported by interesting musical structures. But a composer’s own words usually get in the way of a listener’s own experience, so please visit my Sibeliusmusic composer’s page to see, hear, or print my music. (If you have problems accessing scores at my composer’s page they are available for download, in pdf format, here. Mp3s as well!)

Performing Renaissance, Baroque, and Pre-Classical harpsichord music by both famous and obscure composers of the 17th and 18th centuries. I have been interpreting this repertoire in concerts and other settings for over thirty years as both a soloist and continuo player, as a soloist and in “original instrument” ensembles. I truly love bringing this beautiful, intriguing, and varied music to life for my listeners, guided by historical performance practices and playing full sounding recreations of the old instruments.

I am available as a solo performer for cultural events and private occasions; for public or house concerts, art exhibitions, ceremonies, educational presentations, and other such gatherings. Composers in my repertoire include: Bach, Scarlatti, Telemann, Couperin, Handel, Soler, Purcell, and many lesser known composers whose works equally deserve to be heard.
